MOROCCO / New reality TV show

Starting on November 24th, 2M’s schedule will be enhanced with a new reality TV show: “Who Will Invest in My Project? Startups Special”. Launched in partnership with the telecoms operator Inwi, this “tech show” combining reality TV with entertainment will bring start-ups and investors face to face.

The show will be presented by Medhi Boukhari and broadcast on prime time. Its objective: to promote the new digital economy and support Moroccan start-ups. Each week the creators of a start-up will pitch their project to five private investors. Thus each budding company can get publicity on national television while its founders may be mentored by successful entrepreneurs. Salim Cheikh, Managing Director of 2M, explains that “the chosen investors will place their money for maximum growth while simultaneously helping the businesses of the selected candidates develop.”

Several organizations are already partners of the show: the Caisse Centrale de Garantie, the Digital Development Agency and the Moroccan Federation of Information Technologies, Telecommuni-cations and Offshoring.

Six shows will be broadcast from November 24th to December 29th. Selection of the 24 candidates and the different stages of their preparation have been broadcast every day since October 20th.
