MOROCCO / Argan Studios prepares 80 hectares of studios

Argan Studios plans to build an 80-hectare film complex between Rabat and Casablanca.

Led by producer Khadija Alami, this project, with an estimated budget of €70 million, will be equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to streamline feature film production: studios, post-production facilities, a training campus, hotels and business centres. Partial opening is planned for next year with the grand opening expected in 2030.

As the newspaper Le 360 points out, “foreign film shoots, which according to the Ministry of Culture generated 500 million dirhams in 2021, reached 1.5 billion in 2025, representing a tripling of revenue in four years.” The goal is to maintain and further develop Morocco’s attractiveness for international film productions.

Platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney have already expressed interest.
