The Observatoire Marocain de l’Image et des Médias is organizing its fourth “Cap Spartel Film Festival” from April 5th to 8th in Tangier. The theme will be “Film and Borders”.
Indeed the festival’s aim this year is to show that “there is not only exile across geographical borders, but also across our own frontiers”. For this year’s festival more than a dozen documentaries and drama films, Moroccan and international, will be in competition. The deadline for the call for applications is March 1st 2017.
Cap Spartel Film also goes out to students, directly into Tangier’s schools and universities, for training workshops on acting and directing.
Finally, a tribute will be paid to film-makers Ahmed Benani (Morocco) and Abbas Kiarostami (Iran).
