MOROCCO / 3rd CAP Spartel Film Festival at Tangier

From April 16^th to 19^th the Moroccan Observatoire de l’Image et des Médias is organizing the third CAP Spartel Film Festival in Tangier on “Cinema and the arts”.

This year the festival will focus on analysing “the intimate, ontological relationship linking cinema to the other arts”.

18 short documentaries and dramas, Moroccan and international, are in competition. They will be judged by a jury chaired by French director and screenwriter Jacques Fieschi, born in Algeria.

Round tables and meetings will examine the relationship between film and music, other visual arts, theatre.

CAP Spartel Film will reach out to students, going to schools in Tangier, for training workshops on acting and directing.

A tribute will also be paid to Orson Welles.
