2M’s “Parity and Diversity Committee” was created in 2013 to fight all forms of discrimination, including inequalities between women and men. In particular it created the web-site “Expertes.ma”, a database of women specialists in more than 150 fields. The web-site is primarily intended for journalists and media professionals who wish to increase the presence of women in the media. More generally the platform presents an image of women as economic, political and social players.
In September, during the 2nd Pan-African Forum for Women, the committee will launch a similar platform across the continent. For this initiative, the committee (chaired by Khadija Boujanoui) has been given an award at the 7th “Africanity Trophies evening” in Marrakech.
