On September 1st the Monegasque state launched a new public channel, TV Monaco.

Run by Nathalie Biancolli to promote the Riviera around the world, it will have four main themes: the environment, international news, sport and life-style.

TV5 MONDE has joined forces with TV Monaco, integrating it in its French-speaking schedules. Consequently several Monegasque programmes will be shown to 432 million households around the world, sharing the same mission as TV5 MONDE’s other partners: “promoting Francophonie in its pluralism, diversity, culture and values.” Yves Bigot, CEO of TV5MONDE, explains that the Principality’s programmes will be integrated “into the schedules of oureight general-interest channels, our lifestyle channel Style and our free global platform TV5MONDEplus.”

Among TV Monaco’s programmes, the daily television news “L’actu”, presented by Ambre Gstalder, is broadcast from Monday to Friday. Lasting 30 minutes, it includes 20 minutes of current affairs and 10 minutes of interviews with a personality.
