Méditalents has opened its project call for LabDoc, aimed at film-makers from the Mediterranean basin who are preparing a first or second feature-length documentary.
Applications are open until December 30th 2025.
Created in 2019 to meet the specific needs of documentary film-makers, LabDoc is a residency programme which supports the writing of first or second documentary projects.
Each year, eight projects from the Mediterranean region receive eight months’ mentorship, guided by experienced writing professionals and film-makers. The goal is to help each project leader to complete a full treatment.
The programme consists of two writing sessions, interspersed with individual mentoring and regular progress checks to ensure continuous development. Each project is supported by two dedicated mentors throughout the residency. Masterclasses by experts further enrich the programme.
