
In a recent statement the Royal Film Commission Jordan announced which projects will receive support from the Jordan Film Fund.
An independent jury from the Arab world reviewed the shortlist of 37 film projects in various categories. “This year’s selection included a wide variety of projects covering different genres and themes, representing stories from all over Jordan. It showcased established film-makers and emerging voices,” they stated.
In total, 25 projects in eight categories will receive support. Among them is Rasem: My Project, a feature-length documentary in development by director Areeb Zuaiter. In the category for feature-length films in production, four films were selected: Occupational Hazard by Bassel Ghandour, The Girl and the Missing Bed by Samer Z.M. Battikhi, Coloured Feathers by Mouhamed Al-Hushki and The Passport by Rakan Mayasi and Ahmed Amer.
