JORDAN / Mohannad Al-Bakri appointed Chief Executive of the Royal Film Commission

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, board chairman and founder of the Royal Jordanian Film Commission (RFC), has appointed Mohannad Al-Bakri as Chief Executive. Mr. Al-Bakri took up his duties on July 7th.

A graduate in sociology and archaeology, Mohannad Al-Bakri has worked for more than 10 years in the Arab region’s creative industries sector. From 2015 to 2019 he was Director of External Relations and Partnerships at New York University in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that he was Regional Director of Luminus Media – Jordan. He also worked within the RFC from 2007 to 2012.

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein commented on this appointment: “I have a lot of faith in him and we are very proud that he is returning to the RFC as Managing Director. He comes to us with a wealth of experience in film culture and is familiar to the local, regional and international film communities with whom he cooperates. I am looking forward to working with him.”
