France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur has pre-purchased from the Haut-Parleurs a series of twenty 6-minute news reports. Each one shows two young journalists, one from each side of the Mediterranean, talking to each other, exchanging ideas and responding to each other around a particular theme. The young reporters are based in Algeria, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco or Tunisia.
These reports are a way of “participating in the citizen debate at the Two Shores Summit, Mediterranean Forum”, which will be held on June 23rd and 24th in Marseille, bringing together 10 heads of state from across the Mediterranean basin. The series addresses issues which will be discussed at the Summit: employment, environment, immigration, education, work.
Broadcast by both TV5 Monde, which is also a co-producer, and France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, as well as on their respective web-sites, the series targets an audience of more than 70 million viewers and Internet users.
The Haut-Parleurs, a grouping of 150 young journalists,is the “the world’s foremost network of young, Francophone, committed reporters,” and the result of a co-production between TV5 Monde and Fablabchannel.
