JORDAN / Documentaries from PriMed 2018 screened at Amman

In collaboration with the Royal Jordan Film Commission the CMCA organised a series of screenings in Amman, Jordan. The documentaries were screened at the Rainbow Cinema – Jebel Amman from April 22nd to 25th starting at 7pm.

This free event was organized as part of the PriMed festival promotion.

MISSING FETINE

Forced to marry at a very young age, Fetine Memish had to live in a foreign country and never saw her family or her homeland again. Her fate, like that of thousands of other girls exiled in similar circumstances, remained a mystery. Until the day her brother’s granddaughter embarked on a serious investigation to find her.

ASHBAL, THE LION CUBS OF THE CALIFAT

They are aged between 4 and 16 ans. In the Islamic State they are known as ashbal, the Caliphate’s lion cubs. These children have spent months in training camps being badly treated and brain-washed, then sent to the front line.

STRANGE FISH

The fishermen in Zarzis, a Tunisian town on the borders of Libya, set out each day wondering whether they will find a strange fish in their nets, the bloated corpse of a drowned emigrant.
