Italian director Francesco Mandelli has started shooting his third feature film Appena un minuto (Just a Minute) in Rome. With a 6 week schedule, the film has an enviable cast: Max Giusti, Massimo Wertmuller, Loretta Goggi, Paolo Calabresi, Dino Abbrescia, Herbert Ballerina, Antonello Fassari, Susy Laude, Carolina Signore and Francesco Mura. Max Giusti, who wrote the script and also plays the main character, announced the start of the filming in an original way – a video in which he presents the film and its actors.
Appena un minuto is about the daily life of a 50-year-old estate agent, Claudio, separated from his wife and constantly criticized by his children. A piece of simple advice from his best friend changes the course of his life: acquire a phone which will finally allow him to return to the past.
With Appena un minuto scheduled for release in 2019, Francesco Mandelli presented his second feature, Bene ma non benessimo at the Rome Film Festival, which took place from October 18th to 28th. The film, which is about a teenager being bullied at her new school, was featured in the parallel category “Alice nella citta”.
Appena a minuto is co-produced by Lotus Production, a company belonging to the Leone film group, and Rai Cinema, in association with 3 Marys Entertainment.
