ITALY / Mediaset hosts an Israeli series on its VOD platform

Infinity, a video-on-demand platform (VOD) owned by the Italian group Mediaset, has just obtained the broadcasting rights to “Prisoners of War” (Hatufim in Hebrew) from the Israeli production company Keshet International.
The series is about two soldiers who have been prisoners for 17 years and the problems they face trying to return to normal life. According Keshet International, it is “the first Hebrew-language series to be shown in Italy”.
Produced between 2009 and 2012, the two seasons of “Prisoners of War” have already been very successful internationally, with an American adaptation, “Homeland”. Turkey, Russia, South Korea and Latin America also plan to make local adaptations of the series.
