ITALY / Call for films: the C’è un tempo per…l’integrazione Festival

The 13th C’è tempo per…l’integrazione has launched a call for films.

The festival will take place from April 9th to 13th in Bergamo and Sarnico, two towns north-east of Milan in the Lombardy region. It is organized by the Ruah cooperative, active for many years integrating immigrants, in collaboration this year with “Lab 80 film”.

The festival shows films of all nationalities and genres which deal with the issue of integrating individuals, families and communities of different cultures and origins. It pays particular attention to young, independent or emerging film-makers.

To be eligible, a film must have been produced after January 1st 2017. It must also:

– document the positive aspects of a changing reality, increasingly multicultural, multilingual and multi-faith.

– faithfully show experiences of living together, possibly through open dialogue and an exchange of ideas.

– present effective means of inclusion, socialization and intercultural interaction.

The festival has two international competitive categories: one for documentaries with a maximum length of 52 minutes, the other for short drama films with a maximum length of 20 minutes.

The closing date for this call for films is February 28th 2019.
