The Festa del Cinema di Roma, or the Rome Film Fest, ended on October 27th. Now in its 14th year, the 10-day festival attracted 120,000 spectators, with most events taking place in the Auditorium Parco della Musica. The People’s Choice Award went to Alexandre Piva for Santa Subito, the Best Film Award to Sarah Suco for Les Eblouis (The Dazzled). The Best Director Award went to Lorenzo Mattoti for his animated film La Famosa Invasione degli Orsi in Sicilia (The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily), already noticed at Cannes and the Angouleme Festival.
Among the 25 countries represented in the official selection, France submitted 4 films.
