Cinemed, the Montpellier Festival of Mediterranean Films, closed on October 26th. This year’s president was the Mayor of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando, and the guest of honour director André Téchiné. The festival included many discussions, retrospectives and discoveries.
The awards ceremony began with a preview of Dominik Moll’s film Seule les Bêtes. This year the Antigone d’or was awarded to two films: Sole by Carlo Sironi (Italy / Poland) and Stitches by Miroslau Terzic (Serbia). In the documentary category the Ulysses award went to Romanian director Alexander Nanau for his film Collective.
