The 77th World News Media Congress was held in Marseilles from June 1st to 3rd at the Palais du Pharo. The last time this happened in France was in 1995.
Organised by the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), the event attracted more than 1,000 publishers, editors-in-chief and CEOs from over 60 countries. The congress brings together international collaborators in the press industry to discuss the emerging challenges facing the media. The central theme this year was artificial intelligence, alongside “The Future of Journalism” and “Revenue and Growth”.
The Marseilles event was co-organised by BFM TV, RMC and La Provence, all three of which are part of the French CMA Media Group, a subsidiary of the shipping company CMA CGM and owned by Rodolphe Saadé.
