The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) has announced it will finance 14 Greek and international co-productions, using a budget of €940,000 earmarked for the country’s television and radio industry.
5 feature films, 6 international co-productions and 3 documentaries will share this grant.
Six international co-productions, each with a Greek producer, are being funded by ERT from a total €295,000:
– “El Nieto” (The Grandson) by Catalan director Nely Reguera
– “Balkaya” by Turkish film-maker Emin Alper
– “Caterpillar, Nymph, Butterfly”, the latest feature from Cypriot director Kyros Papavassiliou
– “Tiger”by Romanian Andrei Tanase
– “A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On”by the Albanian writer-director Gentian Koçi
– “Kristos The Last Child”, a first feature by Italian documentary film-maker Giulia Amati.
Five Greek dramas will benefit from a total of €510,000:
– “Patty Is Such a Girly Name” by Giorgos Georgopoulos, produced by the Greek company Faliro House Productions
– “Ekseliksi”by Periklis Hoursoglou.
– “Mikro Chroniko Trelas”by Thelgia Petraki
– “Life In A Beat”by Amerissa Basta
– “Me Aksioprepia”by Dimitris KatsimiriThree documentary film-makers will share €135,000: Angelos Rallis for his film “When I went to America”,Dimitri Indares for“Lithi / To Lenaki”and Yorgos Goussis with “The Arm Wrestler”.Sources: cineuropa.org
