Greece / Call for submissions for the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival

The call for films for the 25th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is open until December 8th.

The TDF is one of the most important documentary festivals in Europe. Every year it celebrates the art of documentary through a rich programme of films, events and forums for professionals.

The festival has 4 competitive sections:

– International Feature-length: 12 to 14 documentaries, minimum length 70 minutes.

– International First Film: 10 to 12 films, minimum length 50 minutes. The documentary submitted must be the director’s first or second feature film.

– International “Film Forward”: 8 to 10 films which experiment with the documentary form – with a minimum length of 45 minutes.

– International VR: a selection of virtual reality works.

To be eligible the film or audiovisual work must have been completed during the 12 months preceding the festival screening.

AGolden Alexander or the Jury Award will be given in each section, together with a financial reward.
