FRANCE / The CMCA at the Journées de la Francophonie at the Villa Méditerranée

On Thursday March 23rd the CMCA, in collaboration with the Académie d’Aix-Marseille and the Villa Méditerranée, organized a screening of Stéphane de Freitas and Ladj Ly’s film A voix haute, which is about the importance of words and the mastery of language.

A large number of students from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, from Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Libya and Tunisia were present, and afterwards took part in a debate led by 3 of their colleagues from the Lycée Victor Hugo in Marseille, as part of the work done with the lycées during the 2016 PriMed.

Right from the opening sequence the students found A voix haute very amusing and their enthusiasm for the film was obvious. An enthusiasm confirmed during the debate which followed. An afternoon full of energy, with many young people taking an active part, responding with their experiences, dreams and demands.
