The Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel announced on Wednesday July 22nd that Delphine Ernotte will stay on as chair of France Télévisions. The previous day eight candidates had been auditioned for the job.
Appointed in 2015, Delphine Ernotte is the first head of France Télévisions to have her contract renewed. She is also the first woman to run the French public broadcaster. Among her proposals, Madame Ernotte said she particularly wants to keep France 4 and to make France 5 an ecology channel. More generally, she wants to make “France Télévisions the driving force behind a cultural revival.”
