The distributor Pretty Pictures has decided to postpone the release in France of Nicolas Boukhrief‘s latest film, “Made in France”, following the attacks in Paris on November 13th. Originally scheduled for November 18th, the film probably will not be released before January 2016.
“Made in France” is about a Muslim journalist, played by Dimitri Storoge, infiltrating a jihadist cell in the Paris suburbs. The scenario has similarities with the Paris massacre, since in the film the terrorists plan simultaneous attacks on the Champs Elysees and in other places of the capital.
“The cinemas did not put any pressure on us to delay the film’s release,” said James Velaise, chairman of Pretty Pictures. “It’s a decision I made with the producers to avoid provocation.”
