The 37th Montpellier International Festival of Mediterranean Film will take place from October 24th to 31st.
The festival “continues its cultural aim of discovering films from the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Portugal and Armenia. In a spirit of tolerance, it facilitates exchanges, seminars and studies on the shared components which connect these film industries.”
This year the Cinemed Meeting (October 27th to 29th) will host a novelty: “From Short to Long”. Any director of a short film selected in this year’s competition who is developing a feature film will be able to present and discuss their project with industry professionals at a one-on-one meeting. Development grants, established 25 years ago, are also available – the directors and producers of the 15 feature film projects selected, representing 12 countries, will present their project to a jury of professionals (October 27th and 28th). Professional meetings and round tables will also be on the programme.
