Netflix Turkey recently announced that a documentary about a legendary figure in Turkish football, Fatih Terim, will soon be available on its platform. Terim, manager of Galatasaray, said on his Twitter account: “Prepare the cameras, the lights, we are starting Netflix Turkey”.
Fatih Terim is the most successful manager in the history of the Turkish Süper Lig, winning a record 20 trophies, including the UEFA Cup in May 2000. Eight times champions of the Turkish Süper Lig, the Galatasaray team have also won the Turkish Cup three times, the Turkish Super Cup five times and the Turkish Sports Writers’ Association Cup three times. Under Terim’s guidance the Galatasaray players have won 239 matches out of 399.
As a manager Terim has won the most championships, including four in a row, and the most Turkish Cups. His most famous quote: “I live in Galatasaray. I live with Galatasaray. Galatasaray is what really matters.” Details of the documentary have yet to be made public.
