The European Commission will commission a web series on the theme of migration, development and human rights.
Partners in the European FRIENDSHIP CODE project have launched a call for ideas for all independent European production companies, NGOs, associations, independent foundations and to all organizations involved in decentralized cooperation and the assimilation of migrants.
The web series will consist of six episodes, each of which will be shot in one of the FRIENDSHIP CODE’s six partner countries: Italy (Bologna), France (Toulouse), Germany (Hamburg), Latvia (Riga), Portugal (Loures) and Spain (Seville). It must be structured around the following six themes:
-
the inequality of relations between developed and developing countries;
-
global interdependence: every action on the planet has implications for developing and emerging nations;
-
the importance of Africa’s development for today’s Europe;
-
the effect of cooperation on development, particularly decentralized cooperation;
-
migration routes in Africa, Latin America and Asia, but also from these three continents into Europe, with particular attention to migration flows which directly affect the cities where the web series will be shot;
-
standards for human rights, and the consequences of a responsible lifestyle and consumption.
The call for ideas, open until September 1st, is provided with an endowment of €65,000 which will go to the best project.
