The 24th Cyprus Film Days has just announced which films have been selected for its International Competition and for its Cypriot Competition. The event will take place from April 17th to 25th in Limassol and Nicosia.
The International Competition features eight feature films, including “Aisha Can’t Fly Away” by Morad Mostafa (Egypt), “Sink” by Zain Duraie (Jordan) and “Forastera” by Lucia Aleñar Iglesias (Spain). Forastera follows Cata, whose summer holiday is shattered by the absurd and sudden death of her grandmother, which only she witnesses.
The National Competition presents four feature films: Myrsini Aristidou’s “Hold Onto M”e, Minos Papas’ “Motherwitch”, Ilias Dimitriou’s Maricel and Marinos Kartikkis’ “Diversion”.
The festival also offers the co-production and training platform Dot.on.the.Map. Industry Days. Organised from April 23rd to 25th in parallel with the festival it brings together producers, directors and script-writers from the Mediterranean basin around a session of pitches and round tables.
