The feature-length documentary Yugo Goes to America, directed by Filip Grujić and Aleks Borković, had its world premiere at the 23rd CPH:DOX, a film festival which took place in Copenhagen from March 11th to 22nd.
This Serbian-Croatian co-production follows the film-makers’ journey as they cross the United States in their Yugo, a well-known car produced in Yugoslavia between 1980 and 2008 and later in Serbia.
The film was presented in the Special Premieres section and nominated for the Audience Award. Viewers had until March 25th to vote. The winner will be announced soon on the festival’s website.
This documentary was produced with the support of the Eurimages Fund, the Serbian Film Centre, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and United Media Group.
