The Croatian film One Song a Day Takes Mischief Away by Krešo Golik (1970) has been digitally restored by Ater Studio.
One Song a Day is one of the most popular Croatian musicals. Set in the 1930’s, the plot follows the Šafranek family in Zagreb. When a playboy begins courting the mother, drama ensues.
Its restoration is part of a government incentive to restore the Croatian audiovisual heritage held at the country’s national film archive. €2 million has been allocated to preserve 1,800 minutes of film, which includes up to 20 feature films and a dozen shorts.
