The Bulgarian National Film Centre (NFC) has launched a digital platform filmcenter.bg.
The free platform, available in English, offers foreign producers a directory of national crews, companies and actors. The goal is to make organising film shoots in Bulgaria easier for foreign companies. It also features a guide to natural locations and monuments.
In the NFC press release, director Petar Todorov says: “Bulgaria offers unique natural and architectural sites, talented crews and actors, low production costs plus financial incentives, including cash rebates of up to 25%. Major international studios such as Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, and Universal Pictures often choose Bulgaria as a filming destination.”
