Five projects have been selected as part of the Female Film-makers Support Programme.
Created in 2024 in conjunction with the Sarajevo Film Festival and Slano Film Days, this initiative supports and empowers the work of women film-makers from six southeastern European countries: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania and Bulgaria. As well as guidance it offers project leaders financial support from a fund of €180,000.
The five selected projects include three feature films: Ena Sendijarević’s The Possessed (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Netherlands), Aida Begić’s Air in a Bottle (Serbia) and Maša Šarović’s Embryo Montenegro). Two documentaries have also been selected: The Last Nomads (Serbia) by Biljana Tutorov and Confessions of a Female Gamer (Bulgaria).
