Directed by Uros Tomic and Jelena Gavrilovic, the production won the Audience Award for Best Series at the CANNESÉRIES festival, in collaboration with Allociné and CANAL Plus.

It’s a great success” said United Media’s CEO, Aleksandra Subotic, “especially since the series is in Serbian and comes from a country not usually found at this festival. We are very proud that series plus a wider vision have both been accepted and that visitors from all over the world have been able to watch the first two episodes in France,” said,.

During its ten 50-minute episodes the Serbian detective drama “proudly takes on American references and adapts them to Balkan traditions.”

Unveiled in August at the Sarajevo Film Festival, “Awake” began broadcasting on October 4th on United Media’s Nova S channel.
