According to a report by Dubai International Content Market (DICM), during Ramadan media content consumption via television and digital platforms reached record highs across the MENA, Asia-Pacific and Africa regions.

A total of 13.3 million unduplicated viewers watched television during the holy month, with an average of 9.1 million viewers per day. Each spent an average of four hours and 35 minutes watching television every day.

The report shows the strong shift toward digital content. Streaming platforms now account for 44% of the total audience, while satellite television maintains a slight advantage at 56%. On average, three out of five viewers watched television for more than 15 days during Ramadan, a trend which has been consistent over the past three years.

Among audiovisual productions, drama series and entertainment programmes remain at the top. In total 201 series were broadcast during this period, including 60 series in the Gulf, 52 series in North Africa and 42 series in Egypt.
