The French private channel Gulli, aimed at youth and family audiences, is now available via satellite in an Arab-language version.
Known as Gulli Bil Arabi, this version is broadcast across 18 countries of the Middle East and North Africa, and is included in all the offers of My-HD, a Chinese company based in the United Arab Emirates.
Gulli Bil Arabi’s programming adapts to the habits and school rhythms of young Arabs. The channel offers international productions (Transformers, Totally Spies, My Little Pony) and content produced in France (Marsupilami, Bali, Oggy et les cafards)
For Caroline Cochaux, deputy director of the television section of Lagardère Active (Gulli’s sole shareholder since 2014), Gulli Bil Arabi addresses “all children from Rabat to Muscat” and “carries the values of the Gulli brand: tolerance, openness, and good humour.”
Gulli already has several international versions, such as Gulli Girl in Russia or Gulli Africa in French-speaking Africa.
