Houria Khatir has been appointed EPTV’s Director of External Relations, taking over from Hakim Amara.
After graduating in sociology, she began working for EPTV in 1983 as a producer, programme presenter and then editor-in-chief.
In 1999 she became deputy director of the project to create a third public television channel in Algeria, then ran the channel (A3) from 2000 to 2006. Finally she was appointed advisor to EPTV’s Director General, running the ASBU office until 2008.
From 2009 to January 2017, she ran the ASBU’s news and programmes exchange centre in Algiers.
Diplômée en sociologie, elle commence à travailler en 1983 pour l’EPTV en tant que productrice, présentatrice des programmes puis journaliste rédactrice en chef.
Elle devient notamment Directrice adjointe chargée du projet de la 3eme chaîne de télévision publique algérienne en 1999, puis Directrice de la troisième chaîne (A3) entre 2000 et 2006, et enfin Conseillère du Directeur Général de l’EPTV chargée du dossier de l’ASBU jusqu’en 2008.
De 2009 à janvier 2017, elle dirige le Centre d’échange news et programmes de l’ASBU, à Alger.
