Despite the attack killing at least 13 people in Tunis on November 24th, the chairman of the 26th Carthage Film Festival, Ibrahim Letaïef, confirmed the festival would continue.

This is the only way to respond to these barbaric acts, “ he said. “The organizing team is currently working on re-scheduling the programme to take into account the curfew decreed by the President.”

The Tunisian national anthem, “Humat al-Hima”, was sung by spectators at the screening of “Frontières du Ciel”, a few minutes after the attack.

The Carthage Film Festival, which began on November 21st, should have run until November 28th in 13 of the country’s towns.
