SPAIN / FlixOlé produces a documentary about the history of Spanish cinema

Antonio Resines and Ana Pérez-Lorente are making Historias de nuestro cine, a documentary on the history of Spanish cinema, produced by FlixOlé, the largest cinema platform on the Iberian Peninsula.

The documentary, the platform’s first production, is structured chronologically, combining excerpts from films with interviews featuring Spanish cinema’s most important actors, directors and critics.

Carmen Maura, Ana Belen, Fernando Trueba, Maribel Verdú and Jose Coronado talk to actor Antonio Resines,  talk about their careers, their failures and successes. The film also looks behind the camera, discussing some of the collaborations which have marked Spanish cinema.

Co-produced by Enrique Cerezo Producciones Cinematográficas and RTVE, Historias de nuestro cine will be premiered at the San Sebastian Festival, which runs from September 20th to 28th. After a theatrical release it will be available exclusively on FlixOlé.
