FRANCE / France Télévisions launches a call for projects for its Unité Documentaire

On May 9th the French public broadcaster launched a call for projects for “native digital creations” with the theme “Climate: a decisive torment”. It invites audiovisual creators to propose projects about climate change and its impact on everyone’s life.

In its statement, France Télévisions clarifies the theme in these terms: “Climate change with all its insoluble paradoxes has taken over our minds, it impinges on our behavior (…) Yesterday’s certainties are no longer true today and don’t seem reliable for tomorrow either. (…) In short, the future of the planet hangs first and foremost on private, everyday things.”

They are looking for projects which can be formatted as stories divided into episodes, like a series, using real images. There is no limit for the length or number of episodes.

Successful projects will be announced in mid-July. They will be developed with the teams from the France Télévisions Unité Documentaire and broadcast on the France.tv  platform.
