The fourth Bozcaada International Festival of Ecological Documentary (BIFED), will take place in Bozcaada, a Turkish town and island south of the Dardanelles, from October 11th to 15th 2017. The festival encourages films about ecology, bringing together art and the problems of the environment.
Films are divided into three categories: the international documentary competition, a competition for international student documentaries (Gaia Student Award) and a non-competitive section with various themes (Panorama / screening).
Like EFFA (Albanian Environmental Film Festival), BIFED is part of the Green Film Network – bringing together several film festivals which aim to make people aware of environmental issues. It coordinates the events of the associated festivals so that the films chosen can be promoted and distributed all over the world.
The call for applications is open until May 31st 2017.
