The Tunisian education ministry is preparing the launch of a bouquet of satellite educational channels, to help distance learning without the need to have Internet access. The aim is to guarantee a digital educational space for all pupils. The channels must provide digital educational content in line with the official programmes. All grade levels will be covered.

The education ministry said it chose the medium of television to ensure equal opportunities for all students. The project is one of the education sector’s priorities, with a budget of 40 million dinars.

On October 20th the education ministry said that the content of the channels could be used by the “Edunet” platform reserved for teachers.
