Planned for the autumn of 2014 and repeatedly postponed, filming for the third season of “Kaboul Kitchen”, one of Canal Plus’ in-house creations, will finally begin this spring.
The production team will be in Morocco as from March 21st. The first two seasons were shot in Casablanca and Marrakesh.
The new season will follow a different main character, since Gilbert Melki decided not to continue the series and has been replaced by Belgian actor Stéphane Groodt.
Virginie Sauveur (“Engrenages”) and Guillaume Nicloux (“Valley of Love”) direct the third season, which is produced by Scarlett Productions and Chic Films.
Inspired by a true story, “Kaboul Kitchen” is a comedy about the owner of a restaurant for expatriates in the Afghan capital and the problems he faces.
