MOROCCO / Call for films for the Khouribga Documentary Film Festival

The association Afifdok has launched a call to register films for the 9th Khouribga International Documentary Film Festival.

Which film will follow last year’s Grand Prix winner, Sonia Ben Salama’s Franco-Tunisian “Tout est écrit”? As every year, this 9th Khouribga Festival will present fifteen Arab and international documentaries, from December 20th to 23rd 2017.

Through this event, which is educational, cultural and social, and the subsequent distribution of its documentaries, the organizers hope to achieve three things: to make audiences think about major issues facing our world, to share techniques and film-making know-how through training workshops, and last but not least to contribute to the development of Khouribga, the phosphate mining capital of Morocco.

The call for applications for this year’s festival is open until August 30th 2017. All documentaries, regardless of their nationality and duration, are eligible. Applicants must submit a dossier including:

  • 2 high quality copies of their film, or a protected link to the film, as well as a short summary in Arabic and English;

  • The registration form, available by clicking here;

  • A photo of the director;

  • The poster of the film and three good quality images;

  • The participation agreement signed by the director or producer, available by clicking here.

All the above should be addressed to:

Association of the International Festival of Documentary Film,

PO Box 1306, Quds Khouribga, Morocco.
