2M presents its autumn schedules, including two new series. Firstly, a highly anticipated eight-episode crime drama directed by Nour-Eddine Lakhmar, Hicham Ayouch, and Yasmine Benkirane. Currently in post-production, the series needed a budget of 12 million dirhams (1.5 million euros).
Also in preparation, Al Berrani is one of the channel’s flagship series. With 15 episodes directed by Driss Roukh, this psychological drama is “a project which goes deep into questions about humanity,” its director has said, adding that the story is set in “a remote village which appears calm but hides wounds and buried truths.”
Apart from these new series, 2M is also planning a third season of Bnat Lalla Mennana. This drama series created by Nora Skalli and Samia Akariou returns after more than 10 years. It follows four sisters in a village in northern Morocco, cloistered in their home by their mother, who, after their father’s death, takes over the household. This new season will be set 20 years later.
