Armen, Dogukan, Yasar and Nazli are Turkish and Kurdish. But a recent discovery has overturned their lives: they are also Armenian.
In 1915, their parents or grandparents survived the genocide by hiding their true identity. Some were rescued by Turkish and Kurdish families, others were hidden. All were assimilated as Turks, converted to Islam and forgotten.
Today, after a century of fear and silence, the story has resurfaced. For the last ten years more and more Turks have been finding out this family secret and loudly claiming the Armenian heritage of their ancestors.
The documentary follows Armen, Dogukan, Yasar and Nazli in their struggle, through their inner journey as they come to terms both with the story which was told them and the one which was hidden from them.
