The television channel Mediaset Italia has bought the broadcasting rights of two Turkish series: Woman and Forbidden Fruit.
Both series are distributed by Calinos Entertainment, the leading exporter of Turkish series, programmes and films to the international market. Their sales manager, Goryana Vasileva, sees this collaboration with Mediaset Italia as “a new milestone in our mission to bring the best Turkish series to the world.”
Adapted from the Japanese series Woman: My Life for My Children, the Turkish version Woman focusses on a young widowed mother facing life’s challenges with two children. The series has aired in over 100 countries.
The drama series Forbidden Fruit is about two sisters, Yıldız and Zeynep, whose life paths are at odds with each other. Yıldız strives for wealth and status while Zeynep dreams of professional recognition. Their fates take a dramatic turn when Yıldız becomes embroiled in a scandal. Since its launch in 2017 this series has reached audiences in nearly 80 countries.
