Amazon has signed an agreement with Rai Television to include recent films, some film classics and the channel’s own TV series on its Italian video platform. The series concerned will be the most successful ones, such as “Medici: Masters of Florence”. Every new episode of a series being broadcast will be available on Amazon just after its showing on the channels. The agreement came shortly after Sky Italia and Mediaset announced a joint distribution and content agreement.
The Rai also has co-production agreements with Netflix (for “Suburra”) and Telecom Italia (for “My brilliant friend”).
