GREECE / TV5 Monde broadcast on Greek TNT

On March 18^th Yves Bigot, head of TV5 Monde , was in Athens to sign a partnership agreement with the Greek public service broadcaster, ERT.

Under the agreement, the French-language channel’s signal will now be available on all the Greek DTT networks. In a statement, TV5Monde estimated 4.5 million Greek households will be able to receive the channel.

TV5Monde “will also provide French language programmes for broadcast on ERT”.

ERT’s channels will publicize TV5Monde programmes, while the French channel will “promote […] tourism in Greece and for Greek cultural events” sponsored by ERT, such as the Thessaloniki Festival.
