GREECE / Thessaloniki Documentary Festival postponed

Thessaloniki Documentary festival

Scheduled from March 5th to 15th, this year’s Thessaloniki Documentary Festival has been postponed until the end of May or early June 2020.

In a press release, the organisers of the 22nd TDF explained the decision had been taken in the light of the WHO’s latest recommendations about the coronavirus. Their first concern is to protect the festival’s employees, audiences and guests and the city’s residents. The decision was taken in agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
However, certain sections of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival were maintained on the original dates to avoid further delay, taking place online with live streaming. Thus selected projects in development were pitched online at the festival’s Agora Doc Market. The “Docs in Progress” section also went ahead, with the award-winners announced live online.
