The sixth Palestine en vue festival will take place from March 31st to April 8th 2020. Held in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, the festival shows the local public the diversity of Palestinian films. It also highlights the different players within this world.
Behind the project is the ERAP foundation, which this year gives the presidency to writer and poet Elias Sanbar. Other guests are expected during the week of the festival, such as screenwriter and director Najwa Naijar, who is being honoured with a retrospective, and three other directors: Norma Marcos, Philippe D’Hennezel and Roland Nurier.
In addition to scheduled screenings, there will be three exhibitions during Palestine en vue. Photographs by various artists will show different themes – water, for example, or the state of Palestinian cinemas. Gérard Paucher’s work will feature portraits.
The festival will open on March 31st at the Comœdia cinema in Lyon.
