Meditalents has published the names of the projects and their creators selected for the LabSud residency which ran from November 3rd to 7th.
Every year since 2017 Meditalents has sponsored 4 to 6 projects for first or second feature-length drama films being developed by film-makers and screenwriters living in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. For one week those chosen benefit from the advice of qualified professionals, sharing ideas and opinions while their project is also shown to local producers.
The 6 selected projects this time were: Slimane Hadjar’s Un Vélo à Marseille, Samir Bouallegue’s Dernier Makroud avant la Fin du Monde, Andréa Haug’s Les Âmes Bleues, Franky Demoulin’s Un Salon au Fond du Lac, Camille Martin Donati’s Les Mots des Autres and La Palme by Florence Hugues.
Their tutors were Véronique Zerdoun, a producer at Tabo Tabo Films, and Alain Layrac, scriptwriter.
Meditalents still has two calls for projects open. You have until December 10th to apply for Lab Med 2025 and until December 20th for the Lab Doc 2025.
