FRANCE / Laurent Vallet INA’s new Chairman

On May 20^th the French Cabinet appointed Laurent Vallet chairman of the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA). Previously he had been managing director of the IFCIC (Institut pour le Financement du Cinéma et des Industries Culturelles). He takes over from Agnes Saal, who resigned last April at the request of the Minister of Culture, Fleur Pellerin, following an anonymous letter revealing reckless spending on taxi fares.
